1. Clarens & Golden Gate Weekend Away - Date change

Due to the accommodation, Kiara Lodge being fully booked, the dates for the weekend away have been changed. 

New dates: May 27, 28,29, 30. 

Same place, just different dates. 
The amount is still the same - R1620 for two people, for three nights, in a 2 bedroom cottage.

Passing of John Teece

I am sad to have to report that John Teece, one of the founding members of the Hillcrest Camera Club, passed away on Thursday, December 1.

His enthusiasm for photography was infectious, and so too was his love of eating out. So much so, that club outings were often arranged around mealtimes and favourite eateries.

A press photographer to the core, John lived by a couple of golden rules: f8 and be there, and, know where the buffet is.

1. For those of you who have not taken photos of horses before, care has to be taken when being around the horses.

Horses don't like to be spooked or alarmed, and can react quite badly if they are upset. They don't like crouching forms or creatures, and either want to throw their riders off, or stamp on the offending 'creature'.
