THE BENVIE GARDEN, KARKLOOFTelephone 033 – 502 9090OPEN DAILY 12 SEPTEMBER – 11 OCTOBER FROM 9AM TO 4PM.A MUST ON YOUR STIHL OPEN GARDEN LIST!The Benvie Garden which is 30 Hectares (70 Acres) in extent was established by John Geekie over 125 years ago and is remains in the Geekie family where it is loved and maintained by them. The garden consists in the main of large conifers, azaleas, azalea mollis and rhododendrons. Trees and shrubs from many parts of the world were planted to create this garden. The garden is spectacular, large expansive lawns offer beautiful views, azaleas form hedges throughout the beautiful walk around the perimeter of the garden and everywhere you gaze there are trees. A Heritage garden in every sense of the word, the garden is in the mist belt of the Karkloof and is a full day visit. Bring a picnic basket and spend some time in this beautiful garden. There is an extensive variety of birds in the garden."DIRECTIONS: from Howick. Take the Karkloof Road for 33 km (21km of tar).
