2. Set Subject - "In The Style Of..."

Explore the different styles of photographers, and choose one to copy or emulate. Take photos in the style of that photographer. You will be required to identify the style and show it in your own photo.

For photo submission, please state who the photographer is that you are using. If possible also email the photograph being ''copied'', to be viewed along with your own submission.

This is a challenging set subject, but as mentioned by Harry Lock in his talk, the identification and development of a style and manner of shooting will greatly improve your photography, and your enjoyment of your hobby.

3. Outing - Springside Nature Reserve - 24 November 2018.

We have the opportunity to photograph nature up close. Frogs, toads, spiders, bugs, flora and fauna.
Dave Knox-Whitehead is allowing us access from his property, which will get us into the deepest part of Springside Nature Reserve, where the wet areas are. This is where we hope to find frogs to photograph.

We will be shooting in the morning, from 10am to about 12pm. The time will be confirmed closer to the outing. If it is sunny and hot, we will start earlier.

Please note - the walk down to the reserve from Dave's property is extremely steep. Once in the reserve, you will be required to climb over tree trunks and walk through grasslands. At the river area, the ground is muddy and slippery. Takkies are a must. Be prepared to get dirty.
* If you are not steady on your feet, or have health problems, please sit this outing out.*

Nature Reserve Code of Conduct:
Respect the environment.
Respect the animals.
Do as little damage as possible.
Do not cause unnecessary stress to the frogs (or whatever else you shoot).

When: Sat 24 Nov 2018.
Where: Springside Nature Reserve
Time: 10am
Meet up: At Dave's house. (3A Park Close, off Springside Road. Directions to be given closer to the time)

Bring your camera, and appropriate lenses.
Tripods are needed, but you can also shoot hand held, with high ISO.
Spray bottle with water, for hydrating the frogs, as well as cleaning them, if  they land in the mud.
Bring shooting aids - clips for harnessing plants and grass, backdrops.

See you at the meeting on Tuesday 20th November 2018 at 7pm.
See you at the outing - Springside Nature Reserve - 24 Nov 2018 at 10am.
