3. Black and White Photography - An Exploration

The set subject for March is Black and White Photography.

We begin our exploration into the genre of black and white photography with a  talk given this Tuesday 18th Feb by Harry Talk. He will speak about  the basics - how to identify subjects suited for black & white photography. i.e. looking for shape, form, tone and contrast.

He will also cover some of the principles and terminology, such as what contrast and tone are and how they  effect the image.

We will continue with B&W Photography at the next meeting, with a talk by Andrew Roos on his passion for B&W photography. There will also be a practical demonstration on how to shoot in B&W, and how to use Photoshop to convert to B&W.
