HILLCREST CAMERA CLUB
Hillcrest Camera Club is based in Hillcrest, Durban, South Africa. We cater to all levels of skill and experience, and have members ranging from the users of compact cameras to full-time professionals.
- We meet twice a month, at the William Gillett Sports Grounds (formerly Hillcrest Sports Club), which is off Old Main Road, in Crooked Lane, just after McDonalds and KFC. Meetings start at 7pm.
- We share our photographic experiences, listen to guest speakers, and host workshops. We also view member's photos, in a relaxed and informal environment.
- We go on monthly photographic outings, where we gather together at places of interest, and take photos. Watch here for details of upcoming outings and meetings, members' pictures and articles of interest.
We recently enjoyed a Food Photography Workshop held at Meryl's School of Cooking. There was much creativity and shooting, while we enjoyed the different food scenes. We also some 'live shooting' of food in action, with Meryl expertly drizzling syrup on pancakes, sifting icing sugar on brownies and dripping chocolate for us. Great fun! (Aug 2018)
Hillcrest Camera Club members club outing for June 2018 was to photograph Moses Mabhida Stadium .
